The Ritz-Carlton hotel group has announced plans for a slate of new property openings around the world in the next three years, a move set to see the company’s total number of hotels and resorts exceed the 100 mark.
Six new properties are scheduled to open in the last three months of 2013, including two new properties in China: the The Ritz-Carlton Chengdu and The Ritz-Carlton Tianjin. The international hospitality giant will also enter three new markets in the final quarter of the year, with the opening of The Ritz-Carlton Herzliy in Israel, The Ritz-Carlton Almaty in Kazakhstan and The Ritz-Carlton Bangalore in India. The Ritz-Carlton Aruba will be added to the Caribbean property portfolio.
2014 sees opening in locations including Japan, China, Morocco, Egypt, Bali and India, while Oman, Mexico, Vietnam and Tunisia are among the countries set to see openings in 2015. Herve Humler, president and chief operating officer of The Ritz-Carlton, said: “The robust pipeline of hotel projects indicates a continued strong demand for Ritz-Carlton products and services and we are delighted at the company’s continued positive growth."
The announcement of the upcoming properties follows the opening of the Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Puerto Rico and the Ritz-Carlton Vienna, all in the past year.
