Tennessee's Blackberry Farm to open spa and wellness centre

Boutique luxury hotel Blackberry Farm, located in Walland, Tennessee in the US, is set to open a spa and wellness centre on June 1. 

The concept behind the centre, known as The Wellhouse, is to promote a balanced, sustainable lifestyle, through physical activity and the restoration of mind and body. 

Blackberry Farm owner Sam Beall said: “At Blackberry Farm, we define wellness as making choices towards a healthy and fulfilling life and a state of physical, mental and social wellbeing.” 

To oversee the spa and wellness centre, the property has brought in new wellness director Amanda Anderson, whose background includes working at The Ritz-Carlton Miami, the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas and the Golden Door Spa at the Waldorf Astoria resort The Boulders in Arizona. 

Anderson said: “Being at Blackberry Farm now is such an exciting time and The Wellhouse will give us the opportunity to share wellness offerings with our guests that will hopefully develop into a new way of living.”
