The Ritz-Carlton hotel group has opened its tenth property in China, The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin. The property, which features 277 guestrooms and 53 suites, has been built in an architectural style that fuses art deco influences with touches of the neoclassical European design of the early 20th century.
Wellness amenities at the hotel include the eight-treatment room Ritz-Carlton spa, complete with two relaxation lounges, and a fitness centre containing a yoga studio, a heated indoor lap pool, whirlpools and steam rooms and saunas, among other facilities.
Herve Humler, president and chief operations officer of The Ritz-Carlton group, said: "The opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin reflects our desire to meet the growing Chinese appetite for international luxury hospitality experiences."
The four dining outlets at the hotel range from Zest, where French, Chinese and Japanese food are among the international cuisines served and Cantonese restaurant Tian Tai X, with its own lift and 10 private dining rooms, to lifestyle bar and lounge Flair, boasting live DJ sessions and a cigar lounge, and the Lobby Lounge – whose menu includes the Royal Afternoon Tea in-house special.
