Worthing salon attempts to break world record number of nails painted

The team at Euphoric beauty salon in Worthing, Sussex, is hoping to break the Guiness World Record for the number of people simultaneously painting their nails on Saturday, October 26.

The team is asking people to gather on Worthing Pier between 1.30-2.30pm, armed with their polish and ready to paint at least five of their nails. In order to set the new record, some 1,200 people will have to paint their nails simultaneously for at least five minutes.

The record attempt marks the tenth anniversary of the salon, which offers Environ and Thalgo skincare and Endermologie lipomassage, and will also raise money for Breast Cancer Care and local charity Guild Care.

Euphoric salon team and Worthing MayorOwner of the salon, Zoe Clark, said, “What better way to celebrate our tenth birthday year then attempting a world record? Now all we need is for the residents of Worthing and beyond to get behind us and take part in the event, and support two very worthwhile causes.”

The record was last set in Taiwan in 2011, when 1,156 people took part in the mass nail painting event.

Entry costs £1, all of which will go to the charities, and participants will receive a voucher for a manicure or pedicure at Euphoric within the next six months to say thank you.
