Top speakers wowed the crowds on two live stages
Education took a different format at the show this year with two live stages, which hosted a number of workshop themes presented by world-class speakers covering the latest issues and showcase brand new treatments.
On the Sunday the Live Stage kicked off with make-up artist and body painter, Shima Mistry showing attendees how to complete a body painting look followed by Ken Boylan talking all about eyes. Attendees learnt all about Tanning, ending with Thalgo showcasing the ultimate body treatment.
Over at the Knowledge Arena, the Business Skills Conference featured Marissa Carter, Emma Farrell and Sheila Curran. The afternoon covered the latest trends to hit to market in 2013 in skincare including Janine Da Costa from Dermalogica presenting the latest I skin technology and ending with Thalgo.
On Monday the growing area of aesthetics was covered by some of top names in the business exploring IPL from cosmetic doctor Dr Patrick Treacy, botox by Dr Mark Hamilton, marketing by Stephen Handisides and how the aesthetics business can benefit beauty therapists from consultant nurse Constance Campion. The day ended with social media guru Richard Coen on how to engage with your clients using social media.
The Live Stage was busy with live demonstrations from Repêchage showing how to perform the Repêchage 45 minute Seaweed Facial. Waxing was a feature in the afternoon, ending with nails from NSI on the new trend Swarovski toes and Irina Zotova showing how to create cover nails.
Overall the two stages delivered over 20 hours of free education created to give beauty professionals the inspiration and ideas needed for business success in 2013.
