Vana, Malsi Estate opens in India

Wellness resort Vana, Malsi Estate opened in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand on Saturday January 4.

Planned to be the first of a global collection of Vana retreats, with a further two currently in the pipeline, Vana, Malsi Estate spans 21 acres and features more than 50 treatment and consultation rooms.

Taking a holistic view of wellness that addresses physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, the retreat provides access to a wide range of disciplines. Among the practices and treatments offered are Ayurveda, yoga, Tibetan healing and medicine, meditation, fitness and aqua wellness.

Veer Singh, founder and owner of Vana Retreats, said: “Vana, Malsi Estate is the result of almost five years of arduous work. Our desire to create a true place of wellbeing, where each aspect is carefully considered and where we can meaningfully participate in the wellbeing of (our) guests is what makes us truly unique.”

Facilities at the reatreat include a spa, a ritual spa, three yoga studios and pavilions, indoor, outdoor ant watsu pools, thermal areas, an Ayurveda and a wellness centre and a gym.

There are three restaurants at the retreat and, with a strong focus on healthy nutrition, Vana also incorporates its own orchard and herb and vegetable gardens – from which some of the produce served is sourced.

The 69 rooms and 17 suites range from garden rooms, forest rooms and forest suites to the Esteva suite and the Vana suite.
