Wahanda acquires French beauty bookings site ZenSoon
Online beauty platform Wahanda has acquired French beauty bookings site ZenSoon.
The move is the latest in a series of acquisitions made by UK-based Wahanda since last autumn and follows the purchase of the site’s Dutch equivalent Treatwell last week.
The incorporation of ZenSoon into the business gives Wahanda more than 20,000 European beauty, spa, hair and fitness locations on its books, 1,000 of which are in France.
Lopo Champalimaud, founder and chief executive of Wahanda, said: “France is a vitally important strategic market for us as we continue to drive forward our plans to build a world-class platform and transform the way people book their hair and beauty appointments globally.”
Wahanda also announced that it has received a further £46million (€65m) in funding from its Japanese holding company Recruit. This is in addition to the £30 (€42m) raised in May.
Since October last year, Wahanda has also acquired German bookings site Salonmeister, Lithuanian app agency Lemon Labs and Austrian beauty site Beautycheck.
