Anantara opens second resort in China

Anantara has opened its second property in China, the Anantara Xishuangbanna Resort & Spa, located in the country’s southwestern Yunnan Province.
Comprising 80 rooms and 23 pool villas, the resort is surrounded by hills and mountains and adjacent to the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, one of the largest tropical gardens in the world.
The five-treatment-room Anantara Spa will offer treatments tapping into Asia’s longstanding focus on wellness. Amenities in the spa include a tropical steam cage, a flotation room, an outdoor herbal bath and two hydro suites. The hotel also features an outdoor swimming pool and a 24-hour fitness centre.
Culinary options at the Anantara Xishuangbanna Resort & Spa range from the resort’s riverside view restaurant Mekong, serving Chinese, Thai and local Dai cuisine and the Dining by Design concept, giving guests the opportunity to create their own menu in collaboration with a personal chef to in-villa dining options – allowing guests to have meals prepared for them in the privacy of their villas.
