Angsana Spa, Tengchong Hot Spring Village opens in China

The collection of outdoor hot springs, in which temperatures vary from 38°C to 43°C, includes 11 couples’ pools, an aromatic corridor with eight pools infused with different seasonal aromas and six jade pools, using the jade stones local to the Tengchong region to create balance and harmony. 

 

There are also six forest pools, six main pools – including the Family, Eternal Spring, Tumbling Spring and cool water Chill Spring pools – and six special function pools; the Nano, Splash, Bubble, Whirl, Kids and Foot Reflexes pools.

 

Facilities at the hot springs centre include the six-treatment room Angsana Spa, complete with sauna, steam room and foot lounge, the Waterlight Café – serving healthy cuisine – and a kid’s club. The outdoor hot springs area also houses a second spa building, featuring five massage rooms, four body scrub rooms and a relaxation area with volcanic hot stone loungers.

 

There are also seven spa cabanas, equipped with treatment beds and private hot springs pools, available for rent at the resort. Treatments offered at the spa are aromatherapy based, blending Asian therapies and traditions with western wellness techniques. 

 

Signature treatments include the one and a half hour Angsana Zen, comprising a massage, a bath and the choice between a body scrub and a nourishing honey milk pouch body conditioning, the two-hour Rainmist Indulgence – including a massage and a jasmine frangipani scrub and the hour-long Rainmist Classic, with a steam bath and a black tea body polish and conditioner.
