Aromatherapy Associates plans charity products and walk

Aromatherapy Associates will extend its Inner Strength range next month and donate 10% of profits to Defence Against Cancer. The company is also planning a sponsored walk in aid of the charity.

Defence Against Cancer is working on the development of a new cancer vaccination, to help stop specific forms of the disease spreading. Known as Immunotherapy, this is a new and promising modality in the treatment of specific forms of cancer and uses the body’s own immune system to help fight the disease.

Aromatherapy Associates (AA) founder Geraldine Howard has undergone this treatment and is now supporting the charity to help others to do the same.

During treatment, Howard turned to her essential oils to help her through and created the Inner Strength blend, which features clary sage and frankincense to lift the spirits, rosemary and cardamom to give physical strength, geranium to balance, vetivert and chamomile to calm and finally Rose, which Howard describes as “like a hug in a bottle”.

The brand then launched the blend via a Bath & Shower Oil, donating 10% of profits to the charity, and will extend the range with a Body Oil and a Candle in September.

Meanwhile, on September 5, the whole AA team will walk seven miles from its head office in Brentford to the Aromatherapy Associates Boutique & Treatment Rooms in Knightsbridge during a sponsored walk.

Howard said, “I am truly honoured to raise money for such a fantastic cause that is so dear to my heart, I am so proud and grateful to my team and hope that you will join us in supporting this incredible charity.”
