Aston & Fincher acquires wholesaler AKS Hair and Beauty

Supplier Aston & Fincher, which sells professional brand including ibd, OPI, Sienna X, Australian Bodycare and SBC, has bought East Midlands wholesaler AKS for an undisclosed sum.

Previous owner Steve Allen, who ran AKS with wife Sallie, commented: “We have been friendly competitors for over 20 years, and I have always been impressed with the way Aston & Fincher go about their business. I have been involved in the industry for 45 years and it’s now time for a change. I couldn’t find better hands for the business than those of Oliver and his team at Aston & Fincher.”

AKS sells beauty, nail and hair products along with salon furniture and accessories and runs training courses at its academy in Derby. The acquisition takes Aston & Fincher to 32 stores and 40 direct sales consultants serving 15,000 hair and beauty businesses.
