Babtac announces new board members
Industry body Babtac has appointed three new members to its council, the body that oversees the group’s work. Felicity Leahy (left), Kelly Shaw (centre), and Lynn Kimpton (right) were elected to the Babtac and Cibtac council and have already joined the existing team.
Jason Phillips, vice chair of Babtac who is preparing to take up the role of chair in 2015, said, “We have an obligation to ensure that members are replaced by knowledgeable, passionate individuals when they leave. This diversity and development help ensure progression and keeps the businesses moving forward. We had a lot of applicants and we all felt that Kelly, Lynn and Felicity had the right attitude and understand the gravitas of the position.”
Founder of Spa Genesis Business Consultancy Leahy has been in the industry for 17 years. Shaw joins the board following stints at leading spas around the world and at the International Dermal Institute. She is also the founder of k:Spa. Kimpton has 19 years of experience as a Cibtac examiner.
