Beauty Oasis Spa wins at National Apprenticeship Awards

Beauty Oasis Spa in Weston Super Mare was presented with the Small Employer of the Year Award at the National Apprenticeship Awards in London yesterday.

The salon was awarded the accolade, in recognition of its commitment to developing young people through apprenticeships.

Beauty Oasis Spa began taking on apprentices over eight years ago and has since expanded from one site to four. The third location is fully staffed by ex and current apprentices.

The salon has also partnered with Weston College to develop further resources and support and has committed to support local schools with extended work experience placements.

Owner of Beauty Oasis Spa Sarah Hallaran commented: “Apprenticeships are an integral part of our business and the reason we are so successful in our industry. They help us grow and thrive… all staff recruited from 2008 have been through the apprenticeship programme.”

The National Apprenticeship Awards is organised by the National Apprenticeship Service and is in its fourteenth year.
