Black Diamond Award recipients revealed

The Black Diamond Awards have named the spa mangers of the year in a ceremony held at the Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris.
Taking place as part of the annual Hotel & Spa forum for spa and hotel industry leaders from around the world, this year’s event for the first time saw five awards bestowed.
Alla Sokolova, general manger of IWC Balans in Latvia and Larisa Marinica, spa director of the Amrita Spa in Turkey, both received the White Diamond award. Fabrizio Palmitessa, spa manger at the Donnafugata Golf Resort & Spa in Italy and Sophie Levy, spa developer at LVHM in France were awarded the Blue Diamond award.
Isabelle Gobbo, spa manger at the Le Bristol Paris hotel received the Black Diamond award from which the prize takes its name. The awards were judged by a jury of senior international industry figures.
This year’s Hotel & Spa, returning for the sixth time, drew attendees from a range of countries, including Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Morocco, Switzerland and the US.
Among those present were Pierre Bord, general manager of the Le Negresco hotel in Nice, Susanne Kraus-Winkler, general manager of Loisium Wine & Spa Resorts in Austria, Frank Marrenbach, chief executive of the Oetker Collection of hotels and Eduard Bláha, managing director of Spa Luhacovice and Spa Jáchymov in the Czech Republic
The event is organised by the Vladi Kovanic (KV) Organisation.
