Boutique hotel and spa to open in Myanmar in October

The boutique Sanctum Inle Resort is set to open by Myanmar’s Inle Lake this autumn.

Opening on October 1, the hotel will feature 94 rooms and suites.

Facilities at the hotel, situated 800 metres above sea level, will include an Olympic-size saltwater swimming pool with views of the lake, The Refectory restaurant serving international cuisine, a boutique with local craftwork, and the Sanctuary Spa.

The spa will feature six treatment rooms, including a couple’s room and a Thai massage room, foot massage chairs and a gym.

Therapies offered will include the signature Tamarind Scrub treatment, using tamarind harvested from the property, as well as facials, hot stone massages, 30-minute express treatments and 90-minute to two-hour spa journeys, among other options.

The spa will work with botanical French skincare brand Yves Rocher, and with natural Vietnamese skincare brands Azial and Natural Rendezvous.

Services at the hotel will include offering tours of the local area, from cycling excursions to the nearby Red Mountain Estate winery to a trip to the ancient temples in Kakku.
