Call for input on apprenticeships review

Industry association Habia has called for beauty employers to make sure their voices are heard as deadline for the Government review of apprenticeships draws near.

Habia boss Rob Young said the review could be a "once in a generation chance" to change the training system in England.
 
The government published The Future of Apprenticeships in England: Next Steps in March and is now asking for feedback from employers on the proposals and how they can be achieved.
 
Habia has previously welcomed the report, and particularly its promise to ensure apprenticeships are more rigorous and better meet employer needs. Now the association is calling on employers to make sure their views are heard.
 
Young said: “It’s important that we as an industry respond, so that we can influence the decision making process and get the high quality training provision and support that employers and learners need.”
 
He added, “This is a once in a generation opportunity to change the training system in a purposeful way.  This doesn’t happen very often, so employers need to seize the opportunity.”
