Thai hospitality group Centara Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of its first property in Oman, the Centara Muscat Hotel, on June 1.
The 154-room property will feature a spa, a swimming pool, a fitness centre and two food and beverage outlets, among other amenities.
The Muscat hotel is the second Middle East acquisition for Centara in a matter of months. The opening of the Centara Grand West Bay Hotel Doha, scheduled for 2016, was announced in February this year.
Thirayuth Chirathivat, chief executive of Centara Hotels & Resorts, said: “The Middle East region is a strategic one for us, and we are delighted to be announcing the opening of Centara Muscat Hotel.”
