Corinthia Hotels chooses Dubai for first Middle Eastern site

Corinthia Hotels is to open its first property in the Middle East.

Corinthia Meydan Beach Dubai is set to open in 2020 and will join the Jumeriah Beach Residence community.

A partnership with the Meydan Group, the 55-storey hotel will feature a 5,000sq m Espa Life spa and several infinity pools.

Along with signature Espa treatments, the spa will also offer fitness, mindfulness and nutrition experiences.

The resort’s design, by US architects AE7, is said to reflect the region’s “architectural grandeur and cultural traditions”.

Corinthia Meydan Beach Dubai will join the group’s portfolio of hotels, including Corinthia London, Budapest, Tripoli, Prague, Lisbon and Khartoum.

Corinthia’s area managing director Middle East Matthew Dixon said: “Corinthia Meydan Beach is an exciting addition to the region’s hospitality landscape, representing both a landmark milestone for us as a brand, and for Dubai.

“The energy, vision and quality of resources assembled for this project by Meydan means that this hotel is in the enviable position of offering the market something fresh and new; an interpretation of heritage, culture and service values that we feel have not yet been bought to the UAE.

“We are confident that this property will enhance the Corinthia brand in the region, brilliantly enhancing our existing portfolio.”
