Coty UK and Ireland announces senior appointments

Beauty conglomerate Coty has announced new senior appointments to its management team for the UK and Ireland. 
Coty, whose brands include leading professional nail brand OPI, has named three new general managers.

Daniel Minney has been named general manager, Coty Consumer Beauty, Alexis Vaganay general manager, Coty Luxury and Andrew Kelsall, general manger Coty Professional Beauty.

All appointments are for the UK and Irish markets and will come into effect following Coty’s merger with P&G Specialist Beauty, which is expected to be completed in October.

Daniel Minney is currently managing director for the UK and Ireland for P&G brand Wella and has 25 years’ experience of working with different P&G brands across a selection of markets.

Minney said: “The Coty consumer beauty brand portfolio is outstanding and I look forward to leading the new team.”

Alexis Vaganay is currently vice president of marketing for North America at Bic, and previously also worked for Unilever. His background includes a number of marketing roles across the European and North American markets.

Vagany said: “I am trilled to be joining Coty and look forward to leading the talented teams from Coty and P&G to enable Coty Luxury to win the market.”

Andrew Kelsall, currently managing director for Wella Brazil, has more than 20 years’ sales and management experience.

He said: “I am delighted to lead one of the biggest market for Coty Professional Beauty globally. My priority will be to continue growing together with our salon and stylist partners through education, innovation and inspiration.”
