New beauty training academy opening in Blackpool
Beauty salon owner Nina Shaw is opening a training academy in Blackpool to pass on her knowledge and skills to the next generation of beauticians.
The House of Haltéres, which opens June 4, will offer a range of courses including Russian lashes, eyebrow treatments and design, nails, make-up, microblading, nail art, spray tanning and body treatments.
The academy, which has 12 educators, will be running fully-accredited and insured courses, using some of its own branded professional retail products within them.
“I’ve got 12 years’ experience in the beauty industry and I felt training people would be the next natural step. I enjoy helping the next generation of beauty therapists. I’ve had six apprentices [in my own business],” said Shaw.
“The [academy] name comes from the French word ‘haltéres’, which means ‘wings’, and the idea is our academy will give people wings for the future. We’ve been working hard, putting together a team of highly-skilled educators to teach people in their chosen career.”
Shaw has successfully run her own beauty salon, Beautique, in White Gate Drive, Blackpool, for the past seven years.
The company’s website goes live in June. For information on courses, email [email protected]
