Medispa group Destination Skin is eyeing further growth following its recent acquisitions of the Renew Medica and Skin Genesis chains.
Chief executive Ella Tracey said the brand wanted a total of 50 to 60 clinics in the UK long term in order to achieve “real market dominance” in the medispa sector.
Destination Skin currently has 26 clinics nationwide and has a turnover in excess of £11m.
The group doubled its presence in October when it took over 12-strong clinic chain Renew Medica. Its numbers were bolstered further in April when it acquired the three-strong Skin Genesis group. All sites have now been rebranded to Destination Skin.
The deals were part of a long term plan for Destination Skin to expand via mergers and acquisitions to achieve market dominance in the UK medispa market. Its closest rival is Sk:n, which has 39 clinics.
Tracey said Destination Skin was seeking sites in cities across the north including Newcastle, Liverpool and Nottingham, as well as across the Midlands and in Scotland. “I’ve identified two more businesses I want to take over,” she added.
