Aromatherapy Associates has entered the spa consultancy market with the acquisition of consultancy Spa Strategy.
Spa Strategy consults on both new spa developments and existing spas, advising them on operations, finance and design.
The deal will allow the aromatherapy product and treatment brand to offer a consultancy service to its partner spas and to work with new-build projects from the ground up.
New services will include market research and feasibility, development services, pre and post launch opening services, technical business services from financial experts and executive coaching services.
Spa Strategy managing partner Elaine Fenard will stay onboard as a shareholder and managing partner, working with Aromatherapy Associates (AA) to grow both businesses.
Unlike other spa product houses that offer consultancy, AA intends to offer these services on a small scale with no product contract as well as on a larger scale as part of a full package or treatments and consultancy.
Spas with no alignment to AA will still be able to use the Spa Strategy services as individual or monthly mentoring sessions with no contract.
Aromatherapy Associates president Geraldine Howard said, “I have wanted to add a spa consulting service to our business for some considerable period and finding the right partner to work with was essential to ensure that we provide our spas with not only the finest quality award winning products, signature menus and treatments, but also business development recommendations and highly skilled support to help our partners get the very best from their businesses.”
