Ex Rockliffe Hall MD joins Ramside Hall as advisor

Nick Holmes, ex managing director at Rockliffe Hall Hotel near Darlington, has been appointed in an advisory role for the £16m development of Ramside Hall.

Holmes, husband of Rockliffe Hall spa director Liz Holmes, is to guide the development of the spa and leisure facilities at the Durham-based hotel, which is to be completed in May 2015.

He said: “I am delighted to be able to bring my knowledge and expertise to help make the spa a success with the added bonus that the team at Ramside are great people to work with.”

Holmes has had a long career in the hotel industry, previously working for Rockliffe Hall for six years, the Gleneagles Hotel, and opening Cameron House in Loch Lomond, where he also worked for six years.

Tim Boyd, general manager at Ramside Hall Hotel said Holmes would be a great asset to the hotel. “We are very pleased to have someone with Nick’s level of experience on board to help us drive our new spa development forward,” he added.
