Spa and wellness group Toskanaworld has taken over the five-star Hotel Elbresidenz in the German spa town of Bad Schandau.
The 211-room hotel, which has been closed since it was damaged by the flooding of the Elbe River in June 2013, is set to re-open in the spring of 2016.
The hotel, which will feature a medical spa and offer Ayurveda treatments, among other services, will undergo a multimillion-euro renovation.
Toskanaworld already operates a hotel, with thermal baths, in Bad Schandau. Also damaged by the 2013 floods, the property re-opened, following a period of restoration, in April this year.
The company also operates two hotels, with thermal baths, in the German towns of Bad Sulza and Bad Orb.
