Grand Resort Bad Ragaz to open child-focused family spa

Luxury Swiss wellness resort Grand Resort Bad Ragaz has announced the opening of a new family spa this spring.

Opening in April, the launch of the family spa coincides with the addition of four new family suites, featuring two bedrooms each.

In a statement, the resort explained that the new spa is designed to make the property: “Even better equipped to host families and cater to the rising trend of three-generational travel”.

The family spa will be open to children up to the age of 16, with facilities including a thermal area with hydro massage showers, and a series of pools and bathing areas, among other features.

The spa also features a miniature version of the nearby Tamina gorge, which provides the resort with its thermal waters, and an Alpine hut.

The concept behind the family spa is, the resort explained, to create “a fun and engaging space for children, in which they can enjoy their own wellness experience”.

Treatments at the spa will include the Sweet Honey massage with lavender and honey oils and Happy Feet, comprising a footbath and massage, as well as a pedicure.

Among other treatments are Bling Bling Fingers, a hand and nail treatment that concludes with the application of nail polish and tiny gemstones, and Funny Choco – a chocolate-based massage.

The treatments can be booked for children between the ages of 7 and 12.
