Lava Shells founder launches Kickstarter campaign
A £10,000 Kickstarter campaign has been launched to advance the development of a new product brand to aid sleep and wellbeing.
Clare Anderson, founder of Shared Beauty Secrets, the UK distributor of Lava Shells, has launched the Kickstarter campaign to aid in the development of Sensory Sleep.
Sensory Sleep is a sustainable, reusable vegan silk eye mask that comes with pockets for the optional addition of self-heating inserts, the benefits of which are combined with total light reduction to induce sleep and alleviate stress and eye strain.
This is an adaptation of the eco-steam self-heating technology in Anderson’s single-use eye mask range under the Sensory Retreats brand, used as an upgrade to enhance client treatments by therapists throughout the professional spa and salon industry.
In addition to the self-heating inserts, Phase 2 and 3 developments will include cooling technology and weighted, aromatherapy-scented wheat inserts in a multi-use eye mask.
Industry professionals interested in being among the first to receive the new mask can support the campaign by pledging as little as £35 for the early adopter package.
The early adopter package includes a luxurious vegan silk eye mask, vegan silk travel bag and 10 pairs of single use self-heating sachets presented in a Sensory Sleep box.
Each box also includes a QR code to download the relaxing sound of ‘Lie Down & Listen’, an exclusive sleep track composed for Sensory Sleep by acclaimed pianist, Christina McMaster.
A range of supporter packages suitable for salons and spas who wish to retail the product are also available to be delivered in time for Christmas 2023.
