Liz Holmes to leave Rockliffe Hall to join Virgin Active
Spa director of Rockliffe Hall and UK Spa Association board member Liz Holmes will join Virgin Active next month, taking over as national health and beauty manager from Emma Williams.
Holmes, who has been at the helm of Rockliffe Hall for six years, will leave in March to take over the spa operations at the health club chain’s 38 spas.
Speaking exclusively to Professional Beauty, Holmes said, “This job at Rockliffe Hall is hard to top, but after I six years I think I’ve achieved everything I’m going to achieve, and it’s time for other people that have that opportunity as well.
“This gives me a new challenge, and I’ve been thinking a lot about what that means and how I’m going to approach it.”
Holmes says she is keen to ensure a smooth transition when she takes over, and maintain consistent high standards across the Virgin portfolio of spas.
Williams said, “We are so pleased. She was such a strong candidate; she’s done great things at Rockliffe Hall, and now it’s on to the next challenge.”
Williams announced that she planned to stand down at the end of last year. She has been in the role at Virgin for nine years, and will move to Nottinghamshire hair and beauty salon The Joshua Tree.
