Mandarin Oriental to open new London property

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel group had announced the opening of a new property in London in 2021.

Located on Hanover Square in the capital’s Mayfair district, Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London, will be a boutique property featuring 50 guest rooms and suites.

The property will also comprise 80 Residences by Mandarin Oriental; exclusive private apartments located on the top floors of the building.

Facilities at the hotel will include an indoor pool, fitness centre, and spa. There will also be a bar, rooftop terrace, lobby lounge and fine dining restaurant.

The hotel will be situated near Bond Street and Regent Street in the heart of the city, offering guests easy access to shopping, dining and entertainment.

James Riley, group chief executive of Mandarin Oriental, said: “We are delighted to be opening a second Mandarin Oriental property in London, and look forward to extending the group’s legendary hospitality to another of the city’s most exclusive addresses.”

The hotel will be owned by Clivedale London, a Mayfair-based property developer, and managed by the Mandarin Oriental group.

The Mandarin Oriental currently operates 31 hotels and eight residences in 21 countries around the world.
