NHF launches business coaching and advice service for salon owners
The National Hairdressers’ Federation (NHF) has set up a business advice service for its beauty and hair salon members.
Aiming to help members’ businesses become more successful and profitable, the NHF Business Academy will provide coaching and advice from a team of experienced business mentors, trainers and coaches.
Currently, the NHF offers a business training programme to both members and non-members, and this will be enhanced with the option to buy training for direct delivery on their own premises.
Additionally and only available to members, the federation has set up a business support helpline for free 15-minute one-to-one consultations over the phone with an expert from the academy.
The highest level of support on offer to members is the new tailored business coaching option, including a visit to the salon by an expert, professional review and the development of an action plan with three months’ ongoing coaching support and follow-up visit.
NHF president Agnes Leonard commented: “However successful you may have been as a beauty therapist or stylist, running your own salon business can be a daunting experience.
“The skills and knowledge you need are very different to working on the salon floor, and that’s where the NHF Business Academy is able to help, by offering salon owners practical, no-nonsense advice and guidance from some of the most experienced business leaders in the industry.”
