Not using base coat or make-up brush cleaner among top beauty mistakes
Failing to use base coat or wash make-up brushes are among the top beauty mistakes that UK women every day, according to research by professional band retailer Hairtrade.com.
The survey was conducted among a focus group Hairtrade customers aged 25-40, and highlighted the ten most common beauty mistakes they made.
As well not using a base coat underneath nail polish or failing to properly clean make-up brushes, other mistakes included forgetting to cleanse and moisturise the neck and applying too much make-up to cover up breakouts.
Applying foundation before moisturiser is dry is another mistake, which can cause make-up to thin and appear streaky, as is plucking eyebrows too close to the mirror, looking only at individual hairs rather than the whole brow.
