PB meets Tracy Tamaris, Training Director at the iiaa

What makes your products special over the competition?

The iiaa offers a complete holistic approach to creating healthy skin through our feed, fortify and finish philosophy.

The first step in our programme is to feed the skin with vitamins in our Advanced Nutrition Programme range of supplements. By nourishing the skin from within we can maximize long term benefits and results of our skincare regime. If your body is making healthy cells from the inside, it means that skin will look radiant on the outside.

The next step is to fortify the skin with Environ products. These clinically-tested formulations are packed with Vitamin A, powerful antioxidants and peptides to ensure maximum results on damaged skins as well as protecting against environmental harm. Our unique step up system ensures that the correct doses of Vitamin A are supplied to ensure dramatic effective results, and it’s also great for boosting client loyalty.

The final step is to finish with Jane Iredale mineral make up, a true extension of healthy skin care. Loved by celebrities and make-up artists, Jane Iredale products are free from artificial dyes, fillers and harsh chemicals and provide flawless, soft-focus coverage while caring for skin.  There’s no point using great skincare products and having facials if you’re going to undo it all by using make-up that clogs pores and irritates skin, so this cult mineral brand is the perfect compliment to any good regime.

How cost effective are your products when introducing them into a salon?

We are very aware of the financial challenges salons face when taking on a new brand. With this in mind we offer a range of packages designed to support salons enabling them to manage their cashflow. There are a number of different leasing offers on both equipment and retail product offering instalment plans which allow salons to dramatically increase their revenue with no lump sum outlay.

We also have a number of business building services including free in-salon events conducted by our team of experienced skin analysts and make-up artists who generate revenue for salons as well as loyal customers.

Do you provide any extra services, advice or training programmes for professionals who use your products in their salons?

We pride ourselves on our excellent training department and encourage stockist to regularly return to training to build their knowledge and learn about new products and treatments. We have 5 training centres throughout the country offering courses from basic to advanced covering all 3 of our brands.

We also offer free in-salon events which generate a buzz around products and treatments, helping our stockists to boost sales of retail products and facial courses.

Why should salon owners visit your stand at the show?

They should visit our stand if they are interested in delivering results for their clients and want to build their businesses. They will be able to see live demonstrations of treatments and discover the kind of results they can achieve, as well as having the opportunity to have their skin analysed and enjoying a free makeover.  We also have some great free prize draws, including the opportunity to win an Environ Ionzyme machine for electrical facials.

Are you having anything new on your stand at the show?

This year, in addition to demonstrating our results driven treatments we will be showcasing a new and improved frown treatment incorporating a unique and effective way of enhancing the penetration of our Ionzyme Frown Serum. This new, improved treatment greatly reduces the appearance of frown lines in a safe, non invasive way. The frown serum contains a combination of  3 different peptides which each work synergistically to relax muscles and minimize frown lines.

The new Jane Iredale starter kit will also be on sale at the show, it’s a great way to introduce clients to the range and it comes packaged in a chic cosmetic bag.

We will also be launching Skin Vit A+ from the Advanced Nutrition Programme, which is a vitamin A supplement with added vitamin D.  These two nutrients work together to create beautiful, healthy skin.

Will you be having any special offers exclusive to the show?

We will be offering 20% of Jane Iredale retail products and also have great deals for people who wish to open and Advanced Nutrition Programme account.

Visitors can also take advantage of our fantastic instalment packages for Environ Skin Care and Jane Iredale, enabling them to spread the cost over 6 months and start making revenue from day one. We even throw in some free stock!

What tips would you give salon owners looking to introduce a new line into their salon?

First and foremost always look for a company whose products are supported by sound scientific research data and who can show you how to make significant long term changes to skin. The company should demonstrate integrity in everything they do and should be able to support their clients and help them to grow their business.

Spend time researching the company and their products and speak to existing stockists about their experiences.

Ensure that you get technical, marketing and sales support from the company. They should be able to demonstrate how they help you to increase your turnover.

What else is taking place at the moment outside of show activities.

We have some exciting new launches this year:

  • Skin Vit A+ supplements from the Advanced Nutrition Programme
  • Jane Iredale Starter Kit
  • A spray version of Environ’s RAD antioxidant sunscreen
  • New Environ frown serum treatment and 2 new express treatments.
  • New and exciting training courses
