Sam Trace, Murad Spa Development Manager, and Tracie Kearney,  Sales Director, tell PB what they have in store for Professional Beauty visitors

What is the background of the company and what type of products do you offer?

Howard Murad, M.D. is recognised as a leading visionary for his scientific innovations and founder of the Inclusive Health movement, which focuses on a total body approach to youth building and overall wellness.

A board certified dermatologist, trained pharmacist and Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine, Dr. Murad has personally treated over 50,000 patients. In 1989 he founded Murad, Inc., as a way to share his groundbreaking skincare formulas, which were among the first to achieve significant measurable anti-aging results without surgery. Dr. Murad continues his innovative research and holds 19 patents for advances in the science of skin health.

What is your most popular product and what do you think makes it popular?

What makes your products special over the competition?

Murad offers something extraordinary as we do not just look at topical skincare, we work by a three pronged approach to overall Inclusive Health.

Known as “The Father of Internal Skincare” for being an originator of the use of dietary supplements to promote skin health and as the pioneer of the use of Alpha Hydroxy Acids in topical skin care he also discovered and continuously conducts research on the impact of Cultural Stress® which has been scientifically shown to have a negative impact on cellular health. Treating the client from all three angles makes Murad beyond special over our competition.

How cost effective are your products when introducing them into a salon?

Murad firstly is a professional brand and we have always wanted to help salons and spas in every way, one of which is the cost of products. Murad collates ingredients of only the best standard from around the world, but we are able to give a great margin for businesses as we concentrate on what’s inside of the product rather than the cost of packaging.

Do you provide any extra services, advice or training programmes for professionals who use your products in their salons?

We believe education is key to being the leaders in skincare. We offer a range of training courses, free of charge to salons using Murad. This starts from a complete training course in Inclusive Health and using Alpha Hydroxy Acids for you to become a skin specialist. We also have advanced training courses plus programmes for non therapists such as Front of House and Personal Trainers. Your designated Account Manager also provides onsite refresher training on her visits.

Are you having anything new on your stand at the show?

Any other plans for the show?

We want to give clients a chance to really see what Murad has to offer, so we will be offering taster facials, talks on the brand and products. For those wanting to know more about us away from the hustle and bustle we will be offering  barista coffees and a quiet place to chat.

What tips would you give salon owners looking to introduce a new line into their salon?

As the Spa Development Manager at Murad my passion is to really identify where Murad would sit within your salon. Even if you have one or three brands already, Murad can still offer a niche market you may not have targeted yet. My tip would be so see what we offer that you are not currently holding to know the difference it can make to your business.
