Petra Roberts appointed group spa manager – learning and development at Mandarin Oriental
The Mandarin Oriental hotel group has appointed Petra Roberts group spa manager – learning and development.
The role is a promotion for Roberts who was previously group spa trainer with Mandarin Oriental.
Roberts held this position, which saw her take responsibility for training on signature spa treatments, for seven years,
Roberts’ responsibilities in her new role will include a focus on the learning and development strategies that will best support an excellent spa experience for guests.
Jeremy McCarthy, group director of spa at Mandarin Oriental, said: “This change is a recognition of Petra’s continued contributions, which have kept the Mandarin Oriental signature spa treatments at the forefront of the industry.
We know that the success of our spas is driven by the talents of our therapists, and this new role reflects the importance of their on-going training and development.”
Roberts’ background before joining Mandarin Oriental included managing a fitness centre, and a beauty salon in Hong Kong.
