Saks’ Kirsty Jewson to launch beauty and hair franchise site

Saks national beauty manager Kirsty Jewson is preparing to launch her own Saks franchise in Northallerton this month. This is the first franchise for Jewson, who will run the business alongside her current role at Saks.

“I’ve worked from head office for 10 years,” Jewson said. “I’ve talked the talk so now it’s time for me to walk the walk.”

Jewson will co-own the franchise for the Yorkshire-based salon with Saks art team member Katie Adamson, who will run the hair side. “This will allow me to stay in touch with customer needs,” Jewson said.

The new salon will have four treatment rooms, three nail stations and one spray tan room, and will offer core beauty services as well as laser lipolysis and IPL hair removal.

It will also serve as a Saks mentor salon, providing training to new franchisees before they launch their own salons. “We’re really positioning this as an expert-led business,” Jewson said.

This month will also see the launch of Saks Hair & Beauty Cheadle, the second for franchisee Danny Jarega, who already runs one Cheadle salon within David Lloyd Leisure.
