Software company helps tanning salon raise money for ITV’s Text Santa campaign
Salon software company Salon Tracker supported its client Sun Centre in a fundraising initiative in aid of ITV’s Text Santa campaign.
The company donated 5,000 free text messages – worth £250 – to the tanning salon in Ormesby, Middlesborough, so the business could contact its clients about what it was doing to raise money for the event.
Customers who turned up at the salon on December 18 wearing a Christmas jumper received a discount on their treatment, and were asked to make a suggested £2 donation to the Text Santa charities.
Talking about the day, salon owner Kevin Conway said: “We had a brilliant couple of days; all staff and customers got into the spirit sporting their Christmas jumpers.”
Rachel Scott, marketing manager at Salon Tracker, added: “We footed the SMS bill for Kevin’s campaign as it’s always great to see our clients hosting charitable events. It has helped his salon fundraise for such a wonderful cause.
ITV’s Text Santa Day campaign raised £8.5million and all donations are going towards Save the Children, Make-A-Wish and Macmillan Cancer Support charities. Sun Centre raised more than £100 for the cause.
