Simpsons Beauty Group opening £500,000 aesthetics salon in Hykeham

Simpsons Beauty Group is opening a £500,000 aesthetics-focused salon in Hykeham in March to meet client demand for results-driven treatments.

The 3,000sq ft property will be dedicated to “high-end beauty and aesthetics”, offering machine-based facials, laser, microneedling, dermaplaning and teeth whitening. Aesthetic nurse Sarah Potts, who is a prescribing practitioner, will run clinics at the salon every week, delivering chemical peels, liquid face lifts, fillers and botox.

“There’s a state-of-the-art medical centre next door to the property and I saw this as an opportunity to create a salon more focused on aesthetics, health and wellness, which could work in conjunction with it,” Simpsons Beauty Group owner Terri Clarke told Professional Beauty.

It was also about expanding the company’s portfolio and adding something different – Clarke already has a boutique spa at Branston Hall and a nail and beauty salon in Lincoln’s city centre.

“The Simpsons Boutique Spa in Branston is all about relaxation, with massage and facials our bread and butter treatments, while our city centre location in Lincoln delivers a lot more express services such as lashes, brows and make-up. The Hykeham salon will offer these treatments but will strive to have its own aesthetic and results-driven identity," added Clarke.

The new salon will also feature three pedicure stations, six nail bars, two HD Brows chairs, nine treatment rooms (two will be couples), and a coffee and champagne bar; and is looking to employ up to 11 therapists at the site.

Clarke hopes to open two more sites in Nottingham and Leicester in the coming years. Simpsons City Centre Champagne Nail & Beauty Salon won North East Large Salon of the Year at the 2017 Professional Beauty Regional Awards.

The lastest spa and wellness trend is the restoration of historical baths, with Newcastle having jumped on board.
