Targeted peels, advanced oxygen machines and innovative topcoats will be among the key trends you can spot at Professional Beauty North on Sunday and Monday.
Big-name brands including Elemis, iiaa, OPI, Dermalogica and HD Brows will be showing their latest launches, including all the stock to get you started on your Christmas buying. Here are just some of the trends to keep an eye out for
Skincare: precise peels
As peels become more commonplace in salons, many of the brands you’ll see at PB North are capitalising on the trend to launch gentle yet highly targeted versions to solve specific skin issues.
Skin Pep has versions for brightening and for treating under-eye dark circles and bags, while HL Professional Skincare’s new peels range is targeted at correcting specific issues including acne, hyper-pigmentation and rosacea.
RégimA’s new Power Peels also target brightness with six powerful fruit acids combined with healing plants that have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant action to take skin peeling to a more therapeutic level.
Machines: oxygen evolution
Oxygen therapy may have been around for some time but the latest generation of machines is breathing new life into the process through smart combinations with other technologies.
Advanced Esthetics Solutions is introducing Geneo+ by Pollogen, which combines the company’s OxyGeneo technology to exfoliate, hydrate and oxygenate, with tri-polar radiofrequency to tighten skin and reduce wrinkles. Meanwhile, Crystal Clear’s recently launched Comcit machine uses a combination of cryo oxygen to cool, oxygenate and restructure skin, a microchannelling roller to create channels for the rejuvenation actives, and topical infusion of active rejuvenating ingredients.
Nails: smart topcoats
Nail brands have been investing in top coat technology this season, with transformational effects that add a glamorous edge while they protect. OPI’s holiday collection, for example, features a topcoat with real 18karat gold flakes in a pearly gloss base, and others with chunky iridescent glitters and confetti.
Meanwhile Young Nails’ brand new Caption line launches with a massive 18 Top Effects – glitters, metallic and iridescent shine finishes to transform the 60 colours.
