St Regis launches first Russian property

Starwood has opened its first spa hotel in Russia under the St Regis brand, the St Regis Moscow Nikolskaya, which features the Alexandria Beauty Lounge & Spa.
The spa spreads over 1,600sq m, offering nine treatment rooms, a pool, a sauna, hammam, and fitness suite.
Michael Wale, president of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, EAME, said, “Starwood is maintain strong growth momentum in Russia and the arrival of St Regis in Moscow reinforces our commitment to strengthen our luxury portfolio in this important and fast-developing market.”
The hotel itself has 210 guest rooms. Starwood has plans to open two further properties under the St Regis brand before the end of the year, with sites in Mumbai and Dubai slated.
