Spafinder names John Bevan chief operating officer
Spafinder Wellness has appointed John Bevan chief operating officer. Bevan was previously managing director and vice president of Spafinder Europe, a position he’s held since 2013.
Bevan will be based at Spafinder’s new Miami headquarters and will take charge of global sales, digital marketing and advanced technology products and operations for the wellness gifting and marketing company.
Spafinder said his appointment signalled “an increased emphasis on global initiatives”.
Other responsibilities of the new role will include strategic planning and the continued global expansion of the Spafinder Wellness 365 network of spa, wellness and fitness providers.
Spafinder Wellness chairman and chief executive Pete Ellis said: “ As head of our operations in Europe, John proved to be a trusted leader who consistently delivered results.
His proven successes in Europe stem from his talent for innovation and his keen sense of the wellness industry – which have resulted in increased consumer use of our marketing and gifting programs.
He is uniquely qualified to build our global presence and will help us achieve excellence throughout the organisation.”
Bevan has a long career in the travel industry and had, before joining Spafinder Wellness, served as UK managing director for private members travel cub Voyage Prive and UK managing director and vice president of consumer brands at Lastminute.com
Earlier in his career, Bevan also held positions as product and marketing director of the Online Travel Corporation and managing director of Emap Digital Travel.
