Survey launched to give feedback to Government aesthetic treatments review

In last month’s Professional Beauty magazine we reported that the Government review into aesthetic procedures is underway but has come under scrutiny because there is no one from the beauty industry on the advisory panel.
A survey has now been launched in collaboration with beauty association Babtac, to get real feedback from the beauty industry as well as its clients. Babtac said it has not put its name to the survey but kept it "unbranded" so it appeals to consumers as well as salons.
The survey, which takes about ten minutes to complete, has been created to gather opinions and responses from beauty professionals and also from clients involved with non-surgical cosmetic procedures including treatments such as IPL, laser hair removal, skin peels and injectables.

The aim is to collate reputable and anonymous data that directly responds to the questions posed in the review by the Department of Health. The outcome of the review is expected to be announced in March 2013.
