The Private Clinic of Harley Street moves into surgical market

The Private Clinic of Harley Street, known for its non-invasive and minimally invasive aesthetic procedures, has expanded operations to include surgical treatments.

Liposuction, tummy tucks, breast surgery, rhinoplasty and facelifts will now be available through the clinic. While consultations will take place on the business's premises, surgical procedures will be carried out at local private hospitals selected by individual patients.

A small team of surgeons, including Professor Alberto di Giuseppe who has carried out more than 6,000 liposuction procedures to date, have been brought in to head up the new surgical provision.

The move comes as many clinics report increased consumer demand for non-surgical treatments.

Valentina Petrone, managing director at The Private Clinic, said: “We remain committed to pioneering and developing new non-invasive treatment options in a range of specialist areas, and we thoroughly expect that, for the majority of our patients, these non invasive procedures will remain their preferred treatment route.

“However, for some patients that come to see us, the non-invasive or minimally invasive treatment options are simply not suitable. They may want, or need, a more drastic intervention to achieve the results they are looking for. This accounts for approximately 15-20% of the patients who come in to see us.”
