Therapist finishing school launches in London

A “finishing school” to teach business skills to therapists is being launched by the owner of The Chelsea Day Spa.

Faye Fasan said she has created the London Finishing School for Beauty Therapy (LFSBT) to turn qualified therapists into “commercially viable” therapists.

The school, in Fulham, will offer training modules on specific skills, including: interview skills, spa presentation, therapist grooming, customer service, treatment room presentation, retail and service recommendation, and up-selling and cross-selling.

There will also be specific modules for therapists wanting to take the step up to spa supervisor or spa manager level.

The school will also trade test students to check they are salon-ready.

Courses last between one and five days and cost from £250. Therapists can join directly or salon and spa owners can sign up their employees to courses.
