Tonje Fjeldeberg Elshaug crowned Novalash’s Lash Artist of the Year 2018
Tonje Fjeldeberg Elshaug of Alfaz del Pi, Spain, has been crowned Novalash’s Lash Artist of the Year at the company’s LashOff 2018 competition.
The event, which recognises the work of top-level lash artists from around the world, took place in Houston, with the winner announced at a glamorous awards ceremony at the Royal Sonesta Hotel.
Finalists are judged via submission of photographs and videos of their work, which is examined based on their application technique, product usage, client education and communication skills.
Elshaug was presented her award by Novalash CEO Sophy Merszei, who said: “Tonje’s professionalism and dedication to her career makes her a perfect NovaLash Lash Artist of the Year. She earned this hard-won honour for her flawless technique and devotion to safety in giving clients the signature NovaLash look.”
Talking about her win, Elshaug said: “To be a finalist was overwhelming, but to win Lash Artist of the Year is truly my dream come true. I hope this win inspires others, and I want to say a big thank you to NovaLash for being one of my biggest motivators.”
The event also welcomed this year’s four global ambassadors for the brand – Zoe Kinnear, Andrea McQuade, Evonne McMillan and Sarah-Anne Barham.
This was Novalash’s seventh LashOff competition.
