Separation is an important step in applying lash extensions. It should be performed in all your lash services and in multiple rounds.
In our exclusive video, Zachary Falb, global master trainer for Novalash, demos the technique and explains how it enhances the client experience and the lashes’ appearance.
“If two lashes or more are left stuck together, they can cause damage over time, and even irritation or swelling to the client’s eye,” says Falb.
“Perfect separation eliminates damage to natural lashes. It will take time to master this skill but once you do, you will be sure that no damage is caused to the client’s natural lashes.”
Falb’s top tips for mastering the separation technique:
- Comb lashes over, one by one, checking down to the roots
- Move from corner to corner on each eye
- If you find two extensions stuck together, anchor each lash or extension with each tool and pull sideways. This creates zero tension and a pain-free separation
- Repeat this process three to four times during application.
Novalash has also launched a lash curer which speeds up the curing and drying process of lashes without any irritation.
