W hotels to open in Marrakech

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of the W Marrakech in 2017. The 148 room and suite hotel will be the first W property in Morocco.
The W Marrakech will feature an Away Spa, the in-house W spa brand, an outdoor pool deck and a Fit gym. Other facilities at the hotel will include two restaurants, two bars and the Living Room lobby lounge.
Michael Wale, president, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa and Middle East said: “The fast-paced and cosmopolitan vibe in Marrakech makes it the perfect backdrop for the innovative flair of W Hotels."
There are currently 44 W hotels in operation around the world, with the figure set to hit 60 by 2018.
