The Wellness Collective spa networking event has been cancelled just two weeks before it was scheduled to take place in Sicily.
The event was the first in a series due to be organised by Wellness Collective Events, which is run by Max Laurence-Gutteridge.
Many UK suppliers and spa operators had booked to attend the event, which was also supported by strategic partners including the UK Spa Association and European Spa magazine.
The event was due to run on April 24–27 at Verdura Spa & Golf Resort in Sicily (pictured).
A statement posted on Wellness Collective Events’ Facebook and Instagram channels on April 10 read: “On behalf of the Wellness Collective Team, we today are extreme disappointment (sic) to inform you that the Wellness Collective Event on the 24.04.2019 - 27.04.2019 has had to be regrettably cancelled due to circumstances out of our control.
“We ask that anyone registered to attend this event email [email protected]. More information will be provided to all involved.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconveniences this may have caused and are appreciative for all the support you have shown up until this sad news. We are deeply sorry about not being able to execute this event, and for any unfulfilled expectations, this may have caused. We wish you all the best for the future. The Wellness Collective Events Team.”
Wellness Collective Events had also been promoting events in Africa, Australia and Russia. At the time of writing it had not been confirmed that these will go ahead.
