Wellness hotel Even signs second property in New York

Wellness-focused hotel brand Even Hotels, part of the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), is expanding with the addition of a second property, due to open in Midtown Manhattan in mid-2015. The new-build hotel will cover more than 7,000sq m and house 150 guestrooms spread over 25 floors.
Kirk Kinsell, president, the Americas, at IHG, said: “The signing of a second property for Even Hotels in New York further emphasizes our leadership in launching new brands and commitment to their development in the right markets, with the right owners.”
The West 35th Street property joins the first hotel signed under the Even brand umbrella, which is to be located in the Turtle Bay area of Midtown Manhattan. Centred on the four wellness pillars of ‘keep active, rest easy, eat well and accomplish more,’ Even is the first hotel brand set up with an outlined focus on wellbeing.
Even plans to sign a total of 100 hotels across the US in the next five years, covering key markets including New York, Washington and San Francisco.
