Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Margot Robbie led beauty trends in 2023
As we look back at beauty trends from 2023, there’s no denying that many were celebrity influenced (Hailey Bieber nails, anyone?), but which celebrities were leading the trends?
New research from Fresha analysed the number of online articles mentioning the beauty routines of over 100 of the most influential celebrities of 2023, combining each celebrity’s name with terms such as ‘skincare’, 'beauty routine’, ‘makeup’ etc.
The research revealed Taylor Swift to have the most searched for beauty routine in 2023, with the singer hitting headlines throughout the year as she completed the first leg of her worldwide Era’s tour, released a live concert film, two re-recorded albums and was named Person of the Year by Time. Swift appeared in a total of 135,932 articles mentioning her beauty routine last year.
Queen B came closely behind, with searches for Beyoncé’s beauty tips resulting in 117,372 articles written about her routine.
Margot Robbie landed in the third place overall, with the Aussie star taking the top spot for actresses. The Barbie star’s beauty routine so in-demand that over 78K articles were written about it.

Unsurprisingly, the Kardashian family held a fair few spots in the rankings, with supermodel Kendall Jenner placing in 4th overall (69K articles), whilst older sisters Kourtney Kardashian-Barker and Khloé Kardashian ranking ninth and tenth respectively (40,978 and 40,074 articles).
If you’re wondering why some of your favourite celebs haven’t made the final ranking, with the other two Kardashian sisters, Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian, missing, as well as Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez, celebrities with their own brands were omitted from the rankings to avoid bias.
