Elemis co-founder Oriele Frank has confirmed she is leaving the premium British skincare brand after more than three decades
Elemis co-founder and chief product & sustainability officer Oriele Frank has announced that she is stepping away from the brand after 33 years.
Frank shared the news in a LinkedIn post, describing her exit as “time for a new chapter” and reflecting on her long-standing connection with the business.
She said she plans to continue advising and mentoring brands and entrepreneurs, while also championing the idea that business can be “a force for good” alongside continued growth and profitability.
Long-standing role in shaping Elemis
Frank was part of the founding team behind Elemis, alongside Noella Gabriel and Sean Harrington, joining entrepreneur and investor Linda Steiner in building the brand.
During her career at Elemis, Frank held a number of senior leadership positions, including chief marketing officer and managing director, before being appointed chief product & sustainability officer in October 2020.
In this role, she was closely involved in the development of the brand’s product portfolio and its sustainability and corporate social responsibility commitments.
Product innovation and brand legacy
Reflecting on her time at Elemis, Frank highlighted her involvement in the co-creation of two of the brand’s best-known products: Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm and Pro-Collagen Marine Cream.
Both products have become central to Elemis’ global identity as a premium British skincare brand, supported by more than 30 years of research and development focused on skin longevity and collagen health.
Sustainability and future focus
Elemis develops all of its products at its Innovation Hub in London, with manufacturing based in England and sustainability positioned as a core operational principle.
Frank has been a key advocate for this approach throughout her time at the brand, particularly in recent years through her leadership of product development and sustainability strategy.
In her LinkedIn statement, Frank thanked colleagues past and present, as well as L’Occitane Group, which owns Elemis, and confirmed she will remain active in the industry through advisory and mentoring work.
Her departure marks a significant leadership change for Elemis, as the brand continues to evolve within the global premium skincare and wellness market.
