SS17 nail art tutorial – half and half

In the first of four spring/summer nail art tutorials we’ve created, Bio Sculpture technician Haley Lomas shows us how to do the half and half look – a striking but simple trend from the Tanya Taylor and Cushnie et Ochs NYFW SS17 catwalks.

The design is in keeping with the simple, minimalist nail art vibe of the season, suggesting clients will be coveting decidedly low-key looks.

In our video, Lomas uses a deep sapphire blue and pink nude to create the look, but said the most important thing is having the right brushes to hand. “It’s really important to use an upper arch brush for the line,” says Lomas, “because if the line isn’t super straight and crisp the whole impact of the look is ruined.”
